Blog Review: Jesus Creed

Scot McKnight, Author of numerous books including Jesus Creed and Embracing Grace, has one of the most read 'emergent church' blogs today. This guy knows has stuff. I had no idea who he was before this last March when I happened to attend a "breakout" session at a Willow Creek seminar. The title? "Quit Being 'Good' and Start Being Jesus" It caught my attention and I went. (read my crappy notes here) I'd never have guessed this guy wrote 10 books. He was very personable and had no lofty demeanor about him. He talked about his old college students and had a very refreshing and well-researched view of Jesus.

I stumbled upon his blog one day looking for reviews of Sex God by Rob Bell. And Scot McKnight also happens to be the only person on the planet that actually knows what he talks about when he criticizes Rob Bell. But even that is done in love. He's very to the point, so don't expect to feel mushy after reading any of his stuff. No Don Miller here, folks.
